On August 7, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, the National Political Publishing House Truth said that this agency has just published the second book "Tam Long Voi Dat nuoc" by former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh in 2025.
After more than half a century of revolutionary activities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh is the typical face of a brave, intelligent Vietnamese woman, rich in compassion and loyalty to the revolutionary ideal. From the struggle for national independence, to her career in foreign affairs, education and peace, she has left a deep impression in many stages of national development.
The book "Tam Long Voi Dat nuoc" is a collection of typical speeches, articles and interviews of Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh throughout her journey with the revolution. Each page of writing, each memory is like a musical song resounding from the iron heart of a loyal communist who devoted his life to serving the people and the Fatherland.
Through more than 600 pages of books with three main parts, readers are guided through the journey from diplomacy to education, from the struggle for independence to national construction, in a sincere, profound and historical- weighted voice.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh started participating in the revolution in 1945, when she was only 18 years old - the age when many people were still passionate about studying or living with personal ambitions, she immersed herself in the revolutionary flow, stepping onto a dangerous but also ideal path of those who sought independence, sought the future of the whole nation. It was in the context of the boiling of the historic autumn of 1945 that people like her - representing the patriotic intellectual class contributed to the strength of solidarity and the people's hearts, thereby having a General Uprising that changed the fate of the whole nation.
It is worth appreciating that in every work journey, whether in the fields of foreign affairs, education, lawmaking or social activities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh always shows steadfastness, a sense of responsibility and a heart dedicated to the country.
From her role as a negotiator at the Paris Conference, to her contributions to building a new education system, in the activities of the National Assembly and people's affairs, she is not only an intellectual leader but also a typical representative of the independent, self-reliant and humane diplomacy of Vietnam.
The signing of the Paris Agreement in 1973 - ending the invasion war, opening up opportunities for peace - is a vivid testament to the sustainable value of the spirit of national independence, freedom and territorial integrity that the 1945 Declaration of Independence solemnly established.
As Minister of Education for 11 years (1976 - 1987), she continued to demonstrate a strategic vision, linking education with the cause of national construction in peace. Reforms and policies to enhance the role of teachers, arouse the spirit of civic responsibility and love for the homeland of students all come from the belief: the country is only truly independent and powerful when there is a generation that knows how to live for the community and for the benefit of the nation.
In her articles, she has repeatedly emphasized the viewpoint: education is not only to impart knowledge, but to nurture revolutionary qualities and patriotism is something that the 8th lunar month has sown in the hearts of an entire generation.
