Doctors at Children's Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh City diagnosed T.K with 12% second-third degree boiling water burns, burn wound infection, sepsis, liver damage and collapsed lung. Immediately, this man went to the police station of Ward 16, District 8 to ask for support.
If the child’s father and the woman living with him were not abusing the child, then who could they be? At the first instance trial on November 25, 2022, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court sentenced Trang to death for murder and 3 years in prison for torturing others; the combined sentence is death. Nguyen Kim Trung Thai was sentenced to 3 years in prison for torturing others and 5 years in prison for concealing a crime; the combined sentence is 8 years in prison.
Returning to the case of suspected abuse of a 6-year-old child, the child's father and the woman living with him have admitted to abusing T.K. They are currently being detained by the police, and law enforcement agencies will certainly clarify and severely punish them.
Severe punishment is needed to prevent child abuse, which is quite common today. Some cases are discovered, but there are many cases where children suffer in pain and fear, children are unable to defend themselves, especially when the abuser is their own father or mother.
Child abuse is cruel, and the perpetrator being the biological father is cruel to the extreme.
