It must be affirmed that the victim will get his property back, Lieutenant Colonel Cao Van Thai - Captain of the Major Crimes Team of Hanoi City Police - informed: "When we investigate and prove that the property was defrauded and appropriated, of course the property will be returned to the victim."
To recover the defrauded property, the victim must cooperate with the prosecution agencies, have a petition with evidence to prove the amount of damage, and provide all the information requested by the prosecution agencies. This cooperation is first of all to protect one's own rights, and secondly to denounce the fraudulent acts, add evidence, and clues to the activities of this criminal gang for the investigation agency to solve the case.
We must mention "cooperation with the investigation agency" because in the process of verifying information related to Mr Pips' criminal gang, many victims did not report and did not cooperate, refusing to provide information about the scammers. That lack of cooperation caused difficulties for the investigation agency, lost the opportunity to solve the case quickly and could lead to criminals being let go.
Up to now, when there is official information from the investigation agency, those who are victims of Mr. Pips, must know their responsibility to cooperate to protect their rights.
Cooperating and providing information about the Pho Duc Nam criminal gang to the prosecution agency is very important, because finding more accomplices, handling them according to the law, and confiscating the assets obtained from crimes will give the victims in this case more opportunities to get their assets back.
Up to now, the Investigation Agency has frozen and temporarily seized assets worth an estimated VND5,200 billion, including gold, money, real estate, supercars... of Mr. Pips - Pho Duc Nam. But there are many other accomplices who own assets related to the case.
If there is information to denounce the crime, it will help the investigation agency arrest Mr. Hunter Le Khac Ngo - one of the two "bosses" of the fraud gang. Arresting Mr. Hunter will seize more assets, which will be the source to return to the victims with clear evidence.
Of course, it takes time to return property to the victim, after the prosecution agencies have completed the investigation, prosecution, and trial. The appellate judgment comes into effect, then comes the enforcement of the judgment, including the implementation of the procedure to return property to the victim.
The law protects the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, so the return of property to the victim in the Mr. Pips case is in accordance with law and morality.
