We do not talk about ourselves, but listen to the objective voices of international economic agencies, organizations and press, to perceive and evaluate the country's economic development in a sober and scientific manner.
For many years now, the world press has given a rather prominent title to Vietnam as “rising star”. In the first half of 2024, international organizations assessed Vietnam as one of the leading growth markets in Asia-Pacific. In terms of investment attraction, Vietnam is impressive because more and more large economic groups choose it as a destination to “build their nests”.
Vietnam's growth momentum is very strong, but we should not be complacent. We must increase the driving force for that growth momentum with many effective and positive measures and smart policies.
When the business community becomes the vanguard of development and integration, when the country attracts foreign corporations to invest in high-tech fields, the immediate requirement is to meet the demand for high-quality human resources. Everyone talks about "digitalization", but the foundation of all changes and reforms is people, without a high-level workforce, digitalization is just on paper.
There are people, high-quality human resources, and a strong force of entrepreneurs, but there must be policies to unleash creativity and production capacity. All obstacles must be removed so that individuals, organizations, and businesses can maximize their capacity and resources and participate in the country's development process in all economic, cultural, and social fields.
Speaking at the opening session of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly on the morning of October 21, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized the fundamental content for development: "Strongly innovate legislative work, including transforming the thinking of law-making towards both ensuring the requirements of State management and encouraging creativity, liberating all productive forces, and opening up all resources for development. Management thinking is not rigid, resolutely abandoning the thinking of "if you can't manage, then ban".
By eliminating rigid and mechanical management thinking, people and businesses will have more space and opportunities to create, produce, bring success to themselves and contribute to society. These are the factors that promote economic growth and build a prosperous country.
