Why are so many children not vaccinated?
Recently, on social media, there have been a number of articles with “anti-vaccine” content, claiming that vaccination is harmful, especially for children. This information has caused confusion in the community, many people are hesitant, do not get vaccinated and do not let their children get vaccinated.
“Anti-vaccine” articles are baseless, not convincing with scientific information, just emotional speculations, but many people listen to them, share information on social networks, negatively affecting the vaccination work to prevent epidemics.
There have been many people who have self-medicated following the instructions of "Doctor Google", resulting in loss of money and health, in some cases even death. However, people are still not afraid, listening to social networks and "anti-vaccine" is a very dangerous trend. Especially people in remote areas, with little access to official information, only listen to rumors, thinking that there is no need to get vaccinated against measles because the vaccine affects health.
If every year about 10% of children have not been vaccinated against measles, then after only 5 years, there will be nearly 1 million children who have not been vaccinated and this number is enough to cause an outbreak when there is a source of infection. Everyone thinks that if they do not get vaccinated, it is okay, but many people think and act like that, it is a great danger to society.
It is said to be a great threat to the whole society, because when an epidemic breaks out, there must be regulations to limit and prohibit large gatherings to prevent the spread. Therefore, it will affect many activities, from the study of students to business, trade, and service exploitation of enterprises.
Not only for children, health experts warn, adults who have not been vaccinated against measles, have not had measles should also be vaccinated. Vaccination is not only to protect yourself but also to protect the health of the community. Because, the more people are vaccinated, the more the risk of an outbreak is limited, not affecting the whole society.
In this modern age, we should not blindly listen to quacks, and most of the health information on social networks is also quack. Therefore, we need to realize that if we trust doctors, we will live, but if we listen to quacks on social networks, we will lose our lives.
