Across the country, businesses, commune and ward trade unions, grassroots trade unions... all have practical activities for female union members and workers such as organizing "Ao Dai Week", giving away ao dai, and encouraging wearing ao dai on working days.
Images of female union members and workers in traditional ao dai appearing in many agencies, units, and businesses have created a joyful and exciting atmosphere and spread the beauty of culture in the office.
These activities not only have the meaning of honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women but also contribute to arousing pride in national cultural identity. In the modern working environment, ao dai becomes a bridge between tradition and today's life.
Not only aiming for women's beauty, care activities are also being implemented with rich and practical content.
Typically, in Da Nang, the City Labor Federation launched a movement to mobilize union members to join hands to build Great Solidarity houses; awarded Trade Union Warm Houses to female union members in difficult circumstances; Seminar "Sightly Nutrition - Delicious Meals: From Family Kitchen to Industrial Lunch"; 2026 Female Workers' Day with Ao Dai and "Golden Bell Ringing" performances.
These activities show that the concern of the Trade Union organization is not only limited to honoring activities or symbolic movements, but is strongly directed towards improving the actual lives of union members and workers.
In the current workforce, women account for a large proportion, especially in industrial parks and manufacturing enterprises. They both participate in labor and shoulder the responsibility of taking care of their families and raising children. Therefore, programs to care for housing, life, health or labor law knowledge for female workers are very important.
Seminars on nutrition, health care, competitions to learn about labor law, or festivals specifically for female workers... are also contributing to improving knowledge, skills and confidence for women in work and life.
Looking broader, caring for female workers is also an investment in the sustainable development of the labor force. Because when women are cared for, protected and given conditions for development, they will continue to promote their role not only in the family but also in businesses and society.
The ao dai given, the houses built, the workers' festivals organized... are vivid proofs of the Union organization's companionship with female union members and workers on International Women's Day March 8 today.
