On October 22, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs submitted to the Prime Minister a plan for holidays and Tet in 2025. Accordingly, the Lunar New Year 2025 will be off for 9 days, from December 26, Giap Thin year to January 5, At Ty year (from January 25 to February 2, 2025).
This time, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has also submitted a plan for the holiday schedule for Victory Day, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1, 2025, with an expected 5 consecutive days off from April 30 to May 4, 2025, which means the working day will be swapped from Friday, May 2, to Saturday, April 26, 2025.
On the occasion of National Day September 2, 2025, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also proposed 4 consecutive days off, from August 30 to September 2, 2025, including two National Day holidays as prescribed and two weekend days.
This is a welcome move by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, showing that the Ministry has been receptive and listened to public opinions. Presenting and finalizing the long holiday plan for 2025 at this time will help people and businesses be much more proactive in production and business activities.
Remember in mid-April 2024, when the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs suddenly proposed a plan for a 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 to help localities stimulate tourism, many businesses and people "cried out", reacted strongly, and felt more worried than happy because their plans were disrupted, unable to react to the suddenly proposed extended holiday plan.
With the 2025 holiday schedule starting now, not including Lunar New Year, people have nearly 6 months (with National Day on September 2, it is nearly 11 months) to plan, arrange work, and prepare reasonable activities for themselves and their families.
Enterprises, especially foreign-invested enterprises, no longer have to worry about having to adjust their business and production plans in a passive situation, avoiding losses and negative impressions of the domestic investment environment.
Local tourism industries can now start developing stimulus plans and even have enough time to prepare new products to attract tourists.
The government "designing" long holidays by swapping working days is a good method to stimulate tourism, create jobs and give people, especially workers, the opportunity to rest, visit relatives, and restore their labor and spirit.
With the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs presenting an early holiday plan like this year, the upcoming holidays will certainly not be wasted, achieving the goals set by the "organizer"!
