On the afternoon of November 11, the People's Council of Ca Mau province, term X, 2021 - 2026, held its 16th session (special session). The Provincial People's Council unanimously elected Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.
At this session, the Provincial People's Council considered removing Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet from his duties as a Provincial People's Council delegate and from his position as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, on July 10, 2024, the Politburo issued a decision to transfer and assign Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council will consider dismissing and electing additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term according to the proposal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, born on August 20, 1971, hometown: Luong The Tran commune, Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province. Qualifications: Master of Economic Law; Bachelor of Law; Advanced Political - Administrative Theory; State Management, Senior Specialist Program.
Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai has held the following positions: Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi District; Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Nam Can District Party Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ca Mau City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
From September 2021 to present, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai has held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; delegate of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.
