Nearly 8 years as a Party cell secretary, the mark he left is not in empty campaign words, but in daring to do first, daring to take responsibility first. The voluntary sale of personal property to contribute to building village infrastructure is not just the sacrifice of an individual, but a very specific way of setting an example of a Party member. When cadres do not stand aside, do not "talk a lot and do little", then words have weight, and movements have vitality.
From that example, projects that seemed difficult to do in a purely agricultural village such as football fields, cultural houses, traffic roads... have gradually been formed. Not by administrative orders, but by the consensus of the people. The role of the Party cell secretary here is not the person who "points the finger", but the person who stands with the people, works with the people, and shares responsibility with the people. When trust is built, the people's strength will self-clean up.
Mr. Mai Van Tuong being honored as one of the 96 outstanding Party cell secretaries nationwide on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Party is not just a personal recognition. 96 flowers representing thousands of Party cell secretaries at the grassroots level across the country are day and night inspiring and motivating Party members and people.
More importantly, it is an affirmation of a truth: Taking the people as the root, taking the people's satisfaction as a measure of the quality of the Party organization at the grassroots level. Wherever the people believe and follow, the Party organization will strengthen sustainably.
Stepping into 2026 - the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress - requiring "clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear authority, clear results" poses a very big challenge for each Party committee and each Party cell. The Resolution cannot stop at orientations or slogans, but must be concretized by measurable results in people's lives.
Innovating Party cell activities in a practical, close to the people, and close to the people direction is no longer a recommendation, but a mandatory requirement. Directive 50-CT/TW of the Secretariat in 2025 clearly emphasized: It is necessary to shift from form to quality, so that the Party cell is truly the political nucleus at the grassroots level, where all Party policies originate from practice and meet the legitimate aspirations of the people.
Secretary Mai Van Tuong's simple words therefore became a thought-provoking message: To mobilize the people, you must be close to the people, understand the people; you must tell the people to listen, make the people understand, and most importantly, make the people see. When the Party is in the people, for the people and acts with the people, trust will be nurtured, strength will be multiplied. That is the solid foundation for the Party's Resolutions to go into life.
