The program is directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army Radio and Television Center in coordination with the People's Army Newspaper, Vietnam Television and agencies and units to organize the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress.

In the reportage category, the A prize belonged to the work "The spirit of "splitting along Truong Son" on key projects" by a group of authors from Corps 12.
For the specialized category, the A prize was awarded to two works: "Innovating the Party's way of ruling, leading the country to rise in the new era" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc Ninh, former Director of the Institute of Party Building, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and "Continuously improving the system of theory on Party building in the new era" by Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Sy Loc, Director of the Academy of Politics, Ministry of National Defense.
Comprehensive social development associated with the struggle to refute distorted arguments" by a group of authors from the National Defense Academy and "Maintaining the ideological battlefield" by a group of authors from the Department of Military Security Protection are two works that won the A prize in the multimedia category.
The Organizing Committee of the contest said that, launched from February 5, 2025, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the contest has truly become a widespread political and ideological activity; encouraging, motivating, creating a vibrant and widespread emulation atmosphere throughout society and in the Army to participate.
During the contest, the Organizing Committee received more than 8,000 entries, belonging to 5 types (political essays, reports, reflections, press photos and multimedia journalism).
From more than 8,100 entries, the Organizing Committee selected 116 final round works and decided to award prizes to 66 authors and groups of authors, with 5 A prizes, 11 B prizes, 25 C prizes, and 25 consolation prizes.
Speaking at the summary and award ceremony of the contest, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics - emphasized that the press contest writing about the glorious Party, the great Uncle Ho with the theme "Steady steps under the Party flag" in 2025 is organized elaborately, scientifically and seriously.
Many works are of good quality, full of combativeness, clearly showing the enthusiasm, responsibility, bravery and intelligence of the team of journalists - pioneering soldiers on the ideological and cultural front; affirming the belief, bravery and intelligence of journalists.
The works participating in the contest all spread deep humanistic values; The image of soldiers, cadres, and party members at the grassroots level are depicted truthfully, closely, and emotionally, contributing to consolidating belief, arousing national pride, self-esteem, ideals, responsibilities and political bravery for cadres and soldiers throughout the army and people nationwide.
