Speaking at the forum "Promoting the creative potential of workers" on the afternoon of August 15, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - emphasized a very important idea related to workers' initiatives that benefit businesses.
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that it is necessary to include bonuses based on the value of benefits for employees in collective labor agreements.
This is a very new idea. Because for a long time in enterprises, rewards for employees with profitable initiatives have often been only sudden rewards, depending on the budget and specific recognition level, the generosity of each business owner, instead of specific framework regulations, and are not directly linked to the value of profits.
In reality, the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers" across the country have recently gone into increasing depth with outstanding figures.
In the last 5 years alone, from emulation movements, campaigns, the workforce of civil servants and laborers nationwide has had over 1 million initiatives and technical solutions with a total value of 198.690 billion VND; 74,959 scientific research topics with a total value of economic benefits or applications of 331,299 billion VND.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor alone has awarded 4,462 creative labor certificates with a total value of VND48,691 billion.
However, to include bonuses based on the value of benefits for employees in collective labor agreements depends on many factors.
First of all, it is the determination and interest of business owners in investing in scientific and technological innovation. Because when business owners do not consider innovation as a driving force for development, it is difficult to motivate employees to be creative and creative to make a profit.
Second, the most important thing is the initiative and skills of grassroots union officials in negotiating with business owners to include this content in the agreement with specific and reasonable figures and ratios, instead of spontaneous rewards as before. And this is also a way to protect and improve the rights of workers.
Above all, grassroots union officials must make business owners see that including bonuses based on profit values in collective labor agreements is correct and necessary because it brings double benefits to both sides.
If designed systematically, the bonus mechanism based on the value of benefits will not only bring immediate economic benefits, but also create a foundation for building a creative culture in the enterprise, helping to attract and retain good personnel.
Incorporating bonuses into collective labor agreements will certainly promote the potential and aspiration for innovation and creativity of workers.
That is a worthy investment, because when workers receive many bonuses, businesses will earn many profitable initiatives, bringing not only economic value but also prestige and reputation in the market.
