First of all, it must be affirmed that the opinions have accurately reflected the current situation at the grassroots level. The opinions of brothers and sisters and representatives of businesses show the concern of the Party and State and the realization of policies for developing science, technology, innovation and creativity, especially since Resolution 57 of the Politburo was issued, there have been strong changes.

The spirit of innovation and creativity of workers is constantly being promoted, the whole country has appeared many models and solutions in creating an environment and favorable conditions to nurture, support and develop workers' ideas.

Through the stories discussed at the forum and more than that, creative stories that are not yet known and not discussed here, we are happy and express our admiration for the will, spirit, efforts to overcome difficulties, overcome adversity to innovate and be creative to do better, more effectively, and with better quality than our work of many workers and laborers.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front pointed out that there are still many concerns and concerns, many questions are raised: Why are many workers not creative and afraid to innovate in their work? Why do workers have ideas but dare not say them? Why don't businesses have a mechanism to encourage and protect creators? Why haven't creative ideas been realized, and have not been nurtured to take root and plant the potholes?

Mr. Do Van Chien raised the issue of what is really the biggest barrier and difficulty for workers in the process of innovation? Why are Vietnamese workers highly appreciated by international friends for their diligence, eagerness to learn, lightheadedness and great aspiration to rise up, but in reality, our country's labor productivity is still low, income is not commensurate with the efforts put in, our country is still not a developed country with many resources...

The questions are very simple and everyday but are also the thoughts, concerns, and concerns of many generations of Party and State leaders and many generations of Vietnamese people. The issues raised very frankly today are also institutional bottlenecks, which the Party and State, headed by General Secretary To Lam, have repeatedly emphasized that need to be resolutely resolved to unlock resources for innovation.

Incorporate rewards based on value into collective labor agreements between enterprises and employees

The common point of Kaizen and the above programs is to encourage workers to continuously improve their creativity and reduce product costs. However, Kaizen focuses on small daily improvements, which lead to major changes.

According to Mr. Tu, thanks to transparent regulations, criteria, and awards, Kaizen has encouraged workers to come up with Kaizen ideas, explore and improve them to apply to work, and achieve many successes in the production process. From 2020-2024, the total number of Kaizen ideas proposed at Toyota Vietnam Company is nearly 215,000; in 2024, there will be a total of 50,000 ideas. The person with the most ideas is 300 ideas/year.

Over the past 5 years, thanks to his own efforts and the support of the Board of Directors, he has researched and implemented more than 50 technical innovation initiatives, many of which have been replicated inside and outside the Corporation.

However, according to Mr. Manh, innovation from the workforce still has many barriers. Many workers still maintain old working habits, have not formed a cai tien hoa tu duy, have few questions and are still confused when presenting or implementing ideas. The thinking of "working for a salary" is still popular because it is not clear to see the connection between initiatives and income and benefits. In addition, repetitive work and high production pressure make workers have few opportunities to experiment with new methods.

"In addition to my efforts, I have also received the attention and encouragement of the Corporation's management board, as well as the union to improve productivity, product quality, reduce equipment investment costs, and reduce the product error rate to below 1%, although the cost is only over 10 million VND, which has helped the company save more than 1 billion VND/year.

From that reality, Mr. Manh suggested to workers: As those who understand the production process and stage most clearly, workers are also the richest source of ideas. Everyone needs to proactively learn, apply technology, boldly propose and implement new solutions.

For trade unions and enterprises: It is necessary to create an environment to encourage creativity, allocate resources for initiatives, especially ideas that need to be invested in and experimented with; maintain regular channel for receiving initiatives; promptly reward and replicate effective solutions. At the same time, it is advisable to organize creative playgrounds and build an initiative data warehouse on digital platforms to share throughout the industry.

For the State: It is necessary to continue to innovate education, especially focusing on training creative thinking for workers right from school, so that when entering the factory, each worker can proactively find a good way to do it, contributing to improving productivity and product quality.

According to Mr. Manh, on the journey to seek knowledge, any worker can be creative if stimulated, supported and inspired properly. Creativity is not only a result, but also a meaningful journey of commitment. With that belief, he hopes that the initiative movement will spread more and more strongly, contributing to the glorification of the intelligence and bravery of the Vietnamese working class in the new era.

The turning point of the initiative is to "unblock" extension behavior, turning traditional models into multi-layered smart extension systems. Despite many difficulties such as lack of synchronous data, limited tools, time pressure and the need to coordinate with many departments, thanks to the close direction of leaders, the spirit of solidarity of the collective and her own perseverance, she and her colleagues have increased the extension rate by 5 - 8%, increased revenue, reduced network departure, and more importantly, opened a new approach: understanding customers to retain customers.

For me, every day of work and dedication is a valuable day. This initiative not only brings business efficiency but also proves that: when workers are given confidence, dare to overcome limits and persistently pursue new solutions, they can create sustainable value for the organization and spread innovation to the collective, Ms. Huong emphasized.

From her story, she hopes that businesses will continue to create an environment for each employee to experiment with new ideas, have the right to make mistakes and the right to correct them, access the necessary tools, data and resources. At the same time, it is necessary to build a mechanism to recognize, honor and replicate initiatives from the grassroots, so that creativity does not stop at an individual or a group, but becomes an innovative culture of the entire unit.

Only when workers feel that their voices and contributions are truly valuable, will their creative potential be strongly aroused - and that is the key to sustainable development, Ms. Huong affirmed.

15:25: Ms. Bach Le Ngoc Chau - a worker at Saigon Stec Company Limited, VSIP II Industrial Park - Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Bach Le Ngoc Chau said that she was born in a poor countryside of An Giang, choosing the ancient province of Binh Duong as a place to study, contribute, and be creative.After more than 1 year as a direct production worker, she was considered for the technical department.

In her new position, she always wondered how to optimize time savings best, increasing the rate of sales.

From this concern, she learned new ingredients that were more suitable for the product and proposed them to direct management. However, there is an obstacle that workers initially often do not agree with the new thing. After that, she continued, researched and improved and was applied to the production line. Through 5 initiatives, she and her colleagues have benefited the company by 350 billion VND.

Ms. Chau hopes that employers will create an environment to listen to the creative opinions of workers, even the smallest ones; create learning conditions to arouse the creative thinking of workers. In addition, it is necessary to include in the collective labor agreement that workers are entitled to a profit rate to encourage workers.

From a larger perspective, Ms. Chau said that for imported workers, the biggest barrier is housing and a place for their children to study. If these two problems are solved, workers will feel secure in their work, be creative, and contribute to the development of businesses and the country.

15:20: Every factory, workshop, and office has initiatives waiting to be born

Mr. Tran Le Phuong - software development specialist of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company - represented the group of authors to tell about the journey of designing and deploying the application "Automatic gate delivery system - smart gate" at Tan Vu Port - a branch under Hai Phong Port, Vietnam National Shipping Lines.

The story begins with the practical exploitation at Tan Vu Port in the period of 2016-2020, when container output through the port increased by an average of 16% per year. From 2021 to present, for 4 consecutive years, Tan Vu Port has become the first seaport in the North to reach and exceed the 1 million TEU/year mark. The sudden increase in the number of vehicles entering and leaving the port - from 1,500 to 4,000 vehicles/day - has caused manual control to be overloaded, increasing the risk of congestion at the port gate.

When the COVID-19 epidemic broke out, Hai Phong Port quickly deployed ePort software, allowing customers to declare, register for services and pay remotely, while maintaining effective port exploitation and limiting the risk of infection. The success of ePort is a breakthrough in the creative activities and digital transformation of Hai Phong Port.

"That success has motivated us to continue to explore and research more optimal solutions - minimizing human intervention. And instead of waiting for an external solution, we asked ourselves: Why don't we find the solution ourselves? From there, the idea of applying modern technology to automatically check and confirm information about vehicles and goods entering and leaving the gate has been formed" - Mr. Le Phuong said.

After a year of implementation, in May 2023, after more than 3 months of testing, the SmartGate system at Tan Vu Port officially operated. The moment the first tractor completed the procedures to pass the gate in just 30 seconds - no papers, no supervision staff in the cabin - the whole group burst into joy. To date, SmartGate has had more than 3,300 transport units, 16,000 drivers and 22,000 regular users.

Mr. Phuong believes that in every factory, workshop, and office, there are "Smart gates" waiting to be born. The most necessary thing for workers is just a little courage to ask "Why not?"; courage to learn, explore, research, overcome difficulties, be creative; a little courage and determination to start and spread, encourage, and urge colleagues to be creative.

From there, he proposed and recommended 2 issues to enhance creative potential.

First, to have creative workers, there needs to be a creative working environment, the trust of labor managers; create competitions for workers to freely create.

Second, considering including in regulations and legalizing the reward of employers based on the total value of the initiative.

Partly responding to Mr. Tran Le Phuong's petition, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that when the regulations on rewards have not been legalized, try to include them in the agreement to negotiate together. Here, it is not only a bonus for diligence and working conditions but also a bonus for added values and creative potential.

15:5: Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ly (27 years old, Bac Ninh), Worker at Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Hanoi City Labor Federation

Ngoc Ly is the one who initiated the initiative to build AI camera software to detect defective products.

Ngoc Ly said that the idea of a product checking device using an AI camera did not originate from a meeting or a long-term plan, but originated from a very ordinary moment. Once, while cooking, she looked at a facial recognition phone to unlock and suddenly thought: If technology can recognize faces, why can't it recognize product errors?

The intersection between professional experience and observing life helped Ly form the idea naturally.

After many months of research and testing, the first prototype of the AI camera device was released. The system can identify product errors with high accuracy and speed many times faster than manual inspection. More importantly, it significantly reduces pressure on the inspection team and contributes to improving the quality of output products.

The company has applied the above AI camera software to over 16 devices in the production line; ensuring 100% of product output quality; cutting down on 12 manual inspection workers; saving about 1.8 billion VND in the period of 2024-2025.

More than just a technical solution, the AI camera project is a testament to the application of AI technology in actual production to help improve the efficiency, quality and competitiveness of businesses.

Not only a regular testing device, this product is also a testament to the creativity in work that when given the opportunity, everyone can create real value.

Ngoc Ly said that as a female worker in the technical field, which is considered a "playground" for men, she once faced many prejudices and invisible barriers. There were times when Ngoc Ly felt that she had to work twice as hard to be recognized, not only for her professional ability but also for her perseverance and ability to adapt.

In addition to the gender and psychological barriers, Ngoc Ly's journey to realize her initiatives also faces many seemingly un overcoming challenges. First, the lack of initial professional foundation in AI. Access to specialized English documents requires a lot of time; there are times when we have to look up each term, persistently applying each small step before moving towards a perfect solution.

Second, limit resources: Without available specialized testing equipment, she was forced to take advantage of the machine in operation, causing the testing process to often be interrupted. The initial identification software was not completely compatible with the line, requiring her to customize many times.

Third, progress pressure: The project needs to be completed within a tight time frame to be implemented in production in time. Ly works regularly and takes advantage of every hour to research, test and handle incidents.

Fourth, consecutive failures: Many times the identification system was incorrect, the results were unstable, making her frustrated. There was a time when she almost wanted to stop because she was afraid that she would not be able to meet expectations.

Five is to convince the parties involved: At first, some colleagues were skeptical about the feasibility of the AI camera solution. It was those hardships that became a "training" of the will, helping Ly practice patience, develop a mindset to solve problems, and strengthen the belief that: When there is enough determination, all barriers can be transformed into a stepping stone to success.

Ngoc Ly said that participating in this program has given her great motivation. Ngoc Ly hopes to have more initiatives and innovations to contribute to the company and the Vietnamese economy.

According to the Standing Committee of the Secretariat, under the leadership of the Party, patriotic emulation movements launched by the Trade Union have become a strong driving force for innovation and creativity in production labor. From the "Good workers - Creative workers" movement to typical programs such as "75 thousand initiatives - Overcoming difficulties, developing" and "1 million initiatives - striving to overcome difficulties, being creative, determined to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic", millions of initiatives, works, and technical solutions have been born, contributing to increasing productivity, improving quality and efficiency of the socio-economy.

To date, the whole country has about 4,000 innovative startups, more than 200 investment funds, 84 nurseries, 35 business promotion organizations, and 20 innovative startup centers. Our global innovation index has continuously increased from 76th in 2013 to 44th in 2024. Vietnamese workers are respected and recognized by international friends as diligent, eager to learn, bright and eager to rise up. These are the noble qualities, crystallization of cultural traditions, the spirit of overcoming difficulties, the aspiration for independence and self-reliance of our entire nation over thousands of years of building and defending the country.

The achievements have not only demonstrated the great creativity of Vietnamese workers, but also affirmed the role of accompanying, supporting and creating the Vietnam Trade Union in the journey to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

Before entering the Hall to attend the program, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat said that they had directly visited the Creative Space with 80 booths displaying typical works and products selected from thousands of initiatives across the country. That is a vivid testament to the intelligence and aspiration to contribute of the Vietnamese working class in the 80 year journey accompanying the country, especially in nearly 40 years of courageous, creative and resilient innovation.

This is the crystallization of the meticulous observation process, practical experience of living in the same workshop, factory, production line of simple people but with a sense of responsibility, love for the profession, the will to rise up, the desire to innovate and renew from the seemingly smallest things, which are quietly contributing to creating a new look for the country every day.

Pleased and excited by the results, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat stated the need to frankly acknowledge the limitations, in which, in reality, although our country's labor productivity has improved, it is still low compared to the region and the world.

The growth model still relies heavily on unskilled labor, while industries using high technology and large added value still account for a low proportion. The quality of human resources has not kept up with development requirements; most workers still lack in-depth skills, and are unable to adapt to technology transformation, increasing the risk of being replaced in the context of increasingly expanding automation.

The Standing Secretariat emphasized that this situation requires more urgent and fundamental breakthrough and comprehensive steps in the human development strategy, considering this the foundation for the country to move forward firmly in the new era. Innovation is no longer a choice, but an inevitable path to bring our country to rapid, sustainable and unique development.

The forum is expected to be attended by leaders of the Party, State, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leaders of ministries, departments, branches, localities...

The forum is expected to be attended by 700 union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers from sectors, localities, and units across the country, carrying the passion, responsibility, and aspiration to contribute of more than 9 million union members and more than 17 million workers nationwide.

The forum is one of the 3 outstanding events at the 2025 Creative Labor Festival Program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The remaining two outstanding events are the Exhibition "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rise Up" (taking place on the morning of August 15) and the "Enterprise for Workers 2025" Award Ceremony (expected to take place on the evening of August 15).

This series of events not only affirms the creativity of today's workers but also honors the efforts of the Trade Union organization and enterprises in building an innovative working environment and caring for and caring for workers.
