A synchronous transport infrastructure system will be effective

People in Hanoi and neighboring provinces are waiting for a major transport infrastructure project, the Ring Road 4 - Capital Region project, which when completed will create an important traffic route linking Hanoi with key economic regions.

Because of the importance of the project, experts in traffic infrastructure construction and traffic organizations are interested in giving their opinions and contributions that need to be listened to, in order to implement the project smoothly and effectively when put into operation.

Regarding Component Project 3 - Investment in highway construction under the public-private partnership method, two issues were raised.

First of all, according to the design, the route does not have an emergency lane, which needs to be recalculated. Because, for expressways connecting large urban areas with neighboring localities, the expressway always has a very large amount of traffic. If there is no emergency lane, just one accident occurs, the entire route will be congested, not to mention causing traffic safety problems. We have the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway as a "typical" example of overloading and difficulty in rescue and relief when there is an incident because there is no emergency lane.

Managers must have anticipated a huge amount of traffic on the highway under the Ring Road 4 Project - Capital Region when it is put into operation, not in one or two years, but in a longer term vision. If the construction items are completed synchronously according to national technical standards on highways, it will facilitate traffic and minimize incidents.

Second, large bridges such as Hong Ha Bridge, Me So Bridge (over the Red River), Hoai Thuong Bridge (over the Duong River) under the unfinished Component Project 3 do not connect the entire route, while the parallel road system is expected to be completed in 2025.

Roads waiting for bridges or bridges waiting for roads are not new. This situation occurs in many localities, wasting resources and causing public outrage.

Therefore, promoting the implementation of component project 3 quickly, completing the bridges to connect the routes in the whole project, then it will really be effective. The whole system, including the connected component projects, not only facilitates traffic, but also creates momentum for economic development for Hanoi and the whole region.
