When the first power line passes through the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen route on September 30, 2025, it is not only a technical signal for a completed project, but a new lifeline flowing in the Vietnamese economy.
In just half a year of construction - a period of time when many other projects are still the beginning - thousands of EVN engineers and workers have "passed the holiday, crossed Tet", crossed mountains and forests to complete the more than 229km long line, 8 months ahead of schedule. Every meter of rope, every concrete block, contains the sweat and will of the Vietnamese people in the face of the great challenge: Ensuring energy security in the new era.
However, the value of this 500kV line is not only the figure of 3,000MW of transmission capacity or VND 7,410 billion in investment, not only the 1.8 million cubic meters of foundation rock; 110,000m3 of concrete or 55,000 tons of steel columns are in sight.
Because today's energy is not only to brighten up, but also to pave the way for industrialization, for economic zones to grow, and for the Northwestern highlands to have more opportunities to harmonize development. Each power flow running through here is the flow of hope - the expectation of an autonomous, green and sustainable economy. In the near future, it is possible to expand cooperation in electricity supply with neighboring countries.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Central Party Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the spirit of " speeding up, launching is a victory" of the EVN collective. That spirit is not only for one project, but for the working spirit of tens of thousands of people who are creating the future with their hands and intelligence.
On the green mountain tops, 500kV lines stretch in the wind, like the heartbeat of the country is beating faster and stronger, on the journey of modernization.
And when night falls, the light from new transformer stations rises up to reflect a Northwest sky, we realize: Energy does not only come from the power line - but from people's belief in tomorrow.
Therefore, this project is not only a "transmission line", but also a line of aspiration, connecting the difficult past with the promising future of a Vietnam that is reaching forward.
