This activity is not simply an activity to celebrate major holidays and the 14th National Party Congress, but also an affirmation of the determination to develop and realize the country's aspiration for prosperity and strength in the new period.
Of the 250 projects, 129 projects use State capital with more than VND 478,000 billion, the rest are socialized capital, private capital and FDI capital. This diverse combination of resources creates a balanced investment ecosystem, both demonstrating the leading role of the State and unleashing social and international strength.
Notable among the projects are 59 traffic projects, 36 technical infrastructure projects, 57 industrial projects, along with many health, education, cultural and sports projects. These projects not only increase production capacity and reduce transportation costs, but also expand regional connectivity, thereby promoting development balance between localities.
A clear example is the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh (Hanoi). According to the investment plan, it will not be completed until 2027, but participating in the fierce competition of the Government, all levels and sectors, the project will start construction from August 30, 2024 and will be inaugurated on August 19, 2025, shortening the time by 1 year. This is a very complex designed project with beautiful architecture and a super-heavy, super-heavy steel structure.
When put into operation, this center will be a meeting place for international events, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the global arena. In particular, this will also be the venue for the National Achievements exhibition with the theme "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" - an exhibition of special significance, affirming the achievements of the Party, the country, and the nation.
In Nghe An, the new 1,000-bed Oncology Hospital was inaugurated, opening up hope for health care for millions of people in the North Central region. In Da Nang, a leading modern commercial service area and theme park with a total investment of nearly VND80,000 billion has been started, promising to create a new growth pole for the Central region.
Along with that, the Viettel Research and Development Center, focusing on semiconductor technology, AI, big data, will be the core to promote the national innovation ecosystem...
According to the Ministry of Construction, it is expected that in 2025, these projects will contribute over 18% of the country's GDP, and in the following years the figure will exceed 20%.
Looking back at history, each stage of the country's development is associated with large-scale projects. Typically, in the 30 years of renovation, the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the 500kV North - South line, My Thuan Bridge, Thu Thiem Tunnel... are symbols of the country's transformation.
This time, the simultaneous groundbreaking and inauguration of 250 projects on August 19 will also create works of historical stature, a vivid testament to the strength of will, solidarity and creativity, not only contributing to economic growth, but also creating sustainable social values, from the quality of life of the people to the national position in the international arena.
These are works of aspiration and faith.
