This morning (8.16), the Ministry of Public Security solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, No. 96 Nguyen Du, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi.
General Secretary To Lam attended and performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the project. Also attending were former Politburo member, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; General Le Hong Anh - former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Secretariat.
Also attending the ceremony were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee Phan Dinh Trac; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia; Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.
Also attending were Politburo members: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen; Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
On the side of the Ministry of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security - chaired the ceremony.

The inauguration ceremony will be on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (CAND) (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
The above project is a key project, typical of the process of modernizing the facilities of the Ministry of Public Security in the spirit of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo; General Secretary To Lam laid the foundation from the first steps and throughout the implementation process.
Started construction in December 2023, the project is synchronously equipped with advanced and modern equipment, fully meeting the needs and having room for the activities of the Ministry of Public Security.
With the efforts and determination to complete the project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's Traditional Day, the Project Management Board and the construction contractor have organized a competition campaign for 200 consecutive construction days and nights, shortening the maximum construction time.
During the project implementation process, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security regularly organize site inspections, organize weekly meetings with units to review and urge the implementation progress; promptly remove obstacles and promote the project's construction progress.
After nearly 18 months of construction, under the close and drastic direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the participation and support of leaders of ministries, branches, and Hanoi City, the efforts of the investor, the determination of the construction contractor, the project has been completed and put into use, ensuring spacious, disciplined, and modern facilities, effectively serving the work of the People's Public Security force.
At the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam, Minister Luong Tam Quang and leaders and former leaders of the Party and State cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Ministry of Public Security Headquarters, No. 96 Nguyen Du and planted a souvenir tree in the headquarters grounds.
