Over the years, patriotic emulation movements among workers and laborers have contributed to creating hundreds of thousands of initiatives and technical improvements, bringing great economic value to businesses and the country.
According to data announced at the launching ceremony, in just the past 5 years, more than 380,000 initiatives have been applied in practice, bringing benefits of over 40,000 billion VND.
Those are impressive figures, showing the intelligence, creativity and dedication of the Vietnamese worker team.
However, a question raised from these figures is how do workers, especially "creative trees", benefit from these achievements?
It is no coincidence that at the launching ceremony of the "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" emulation movement for the 2026-2031 period, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized: "Emulating to improve productivity must go hand in hand with creating sustainable jobs, stable incomes, and increasingly better welfare and working conditions for workers and laborers.
Because, if only requiring workers to work more, faster, and more efficiently but income is not improved correspondingly, it is very difficult to create long-term motivation. Emulation then easily becomes a slogan rather than a driving force for development.
Conversely, when workers see that each of their initiatives is recognized, each effort to improve their skills is rewarded, and each step to increase productivity brings better income and better working conditions, the emulation movement will naturally spread.
This is also the reason why in this movement, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in addition to the goals of "Good Labor" and "High Productivity", also added the goal of "Good Income".
These three factors form a tight linkage chain. Good labor creates high productivity, high productivity must bring good income and good income will continue to encourage workers to study, be creative, and improve their skills.
For the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" in the 2026-2031 period to be successful, in addition to the quantity and quality of initiatives, the number of applied initiatives, and the amount of profit, there must also be an additional measure of whether workers' jobs, income, and lives are better or not.
Only when productivity increases and income also increases, when workers enjoy the fruits of their own efforts and intelligence, will the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" truly become a driving force for sustainable development for businesses and for the entire economy.
