Squat with a fulcrum
Daily basic movement exercises such as sitting down, standing up, and controlled lowering of the center of gravity. Table or kitchen counter support helps maintain optimal balance, allowing the exerciser to perform correct techniques within a comfortable range of motion.
Stand upright opposite the kitchen counter or a sturdy table surface. Gently place both hands on the edge of the table to maintain balance.
Stand with both legs shoulder-width apart, keeping your back straight. Slowly bend your knees, push your hips back and lower your body into a comfortable squatting position (no need to go too deep).
Concentrate forces evenly on both feet to push the standing person straight back to the starting position. Perform 2-3 sets, each set from 8-12 repetitions rhythmically, controlled.
Heel raises with a support
The calf muscles often weaken silently with age, manifested by weak steps or slow stair climbing. Heel lift exercises have a fulcrum that helps comprehensively strengthen the calf, improve thrust when walking, and increase balance.
Stand face-to-face with the kitchen counter, placing your hands gently on the table surface. Open your legs hip-width apart, focusing your weight on the front half of your foot.
Pick up and lift your heels as high as possible within your ability, hold for 1 second. Slowly lower your heels to the floor and repeat the movement. Perform 2-3 sets, each set from 12-20 repetitions.
To practice safely and effectively, you should choose a solid support by ensuring that the table or kitchen counter is fixed, clean, and the handles are dry to avoid slipping.
At the same time, you should exercise within a comfortable range, do not squeeze the knee joint too deeply; the amplitude of movement will automatically expand as muscles gradually strengthen. Control the pace, lower yourself and heels very slowly, controlledly instead of doing it hastily.
In addition, maintain walking on days without exercise to build cardiovascular endurance in parallel with muscle strength. Develop a healthy diet, increase protein-rich foods in your diet to nourish and regenerate muscle mass.
Once you are used to the movement, you can gradually increase the number of repetitions or add exercises to improve exercise effectiveness.
