Lemon juice and green tea
Green tea contains many catechins - a group of antioxidants that have been researched to help reduce fat accumulation in the liver and limit liver cell damage. When combined with a little lemon juice, vitamin C can help increase the absorption of some beneficial compounds in tea. However, light green tea should be used and avoided on an empty stomach to limit stomach irritation.
Lemon and ginger juice
Ginger contains gingerol and shogaol, compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. A glass of warm water mixed with a few slices of ginger and a little lemon juice can support digestion, reducing feelings of bloating after meals. However, people with stomach ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux should use it in moderation.
Lemon and turmeric juice
The active ingredient curcumin in turmeric has been recorded in many studies to have antioxidant effects and support liver cell protection. Combining turmeric with lemon in appropriate amounts can become a supplement to a healthy diet. However, people who are taking anticoagulants or have gallbladder diseases should consult a doctor before use.
