Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh - Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Red Journey - said: Through 13 editions, the Red Journey has become a humanitarian campaign with strong spreading power, contributing to changing the awareness of millions of people about voluntary blood donation.
Over the past decade, the Red Journey has received over 1 million units of blood, helping to thoroughly solve the blood shortage during the summer. This is not only a medical professional activity but also a journey to arouse compassion and compatriotism of the Vietnamese nation," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh emphasized.

Ms. Ha Lan Anh - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Ninh Binh province - expressed her pride when the ancient capital was chosen as the starting point for the new campaign season. She affirmed that the Red Journey has become a festival of compassion, connecting the responsibility of the community to society.
Target 120,000 units of blood for patients
Ms. Pham Thi Quyen - Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Office of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization - requested localities to proactively advise the government, allocate resources and promote communication on social networking platforms. Activities must be associated with honoring typical blood donors on International Blood Donor Day June 14, towards the sustainable development of the movement.
According to the plan, the 14th Red Journey - 2026 will officially take place in June and July. The national opening ceremony is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from June 9 to 12, 2026.
This year's campaign sets a challenging but meaningful goal: Receiving 120,000 units of blood. Of which 25,000 units of blood at the main festivals and 95,000 units of blood at response festivals.
