81 cosmetic product declaration forms are still valid
Before being inspected by the police, Mailisa Beauty salon - one of the major beauty chains in Vietnam - attracted attention with a portfolio of 15 products under the Doctor Magic brand.
According to the Doctor Magic product label, the import and distribution unit in Vietnam is MK SKINCARE Import-Export Production and Trading Services Company Limited (HCMC). On the National Portal on Business Registration, the company was established in September 2017, with Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh as owner, General Director and legal representative.
On November 17, speaking with Lao Dong, Dr. Ta Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health) said: The preliminary report of the Department of Cosmetic Management (Department of Drug Administration) has currently issued 81 valid cosmetic product declaration forms to MK Skinilisacare Import-Export Production and Trading Service Company Limited, under the Mailisa ecosystem. Other contents are being requested by the leaders of the Department of Drug Administration for synthesis and supplementary reporting.
Mailisa products evaporate from the system
This beauty chain often livestreams on platforms such as Facebook and TikTok to sell cosmetic products. Notably, the entire product portfolio from moisturizer, cleanser, sunscreen, powder, exfoliation, cleaning solutions to masks... all have the Doctor Magic brand. This brand is introduced by the beauty salon as a genuine imported product and is distributed exclusively in Vietnam.
Recently, in a livestream, Ms. Phan Thi Mai affirmed: These products are "not counterfeit". Products under the Doctor Magic brand have been present in the Vietnamese market for more than a decade. All items are officially imported, with clear, transparent packaging tables to ensure safety and efficiency for users.
In addition, Mailisa emphasized that the products have undergone an independent testing process and fully meet the regulations in Circular 06/2011/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health.
However, since the Ministry of Public Security searched many facilities in the Mailisa Aesthetic Institute system on the morning of November 13 to November 17 on the website https://mailisa.com/ (official page of Mailisa Aesthetic Institute), there were only images of products with a short advertisement line: Doctor Magic cosmetics is a product line officially imported - distributed by Mailisa, there are cosmetic declaration forms issued by the Department of Drug Administration - Ministry of Health... When printed on the product to continue reading the introduction, it was unable to enter.

On Facebook page with nearly 3 million followers: Mailisa Aesthetic Institute still advertises beauty services such as melasma treatment, landslides, hills or tattoo spraying... The posts all have images of customers who have worked at Mailisa Aesthetic Institute praising their beautiful results.
Notably, on this Facebook page, last month, Ms. Phan Thi Mai still advertised the N3 Malisa product with 3 products (white-make, melasma treatment...) sold for 2.3 million VND after reducing the original price to 2.55 million VND. This is a product under the Doctor Magic Cosmetic Brand.

Products advertised by Ms. Mai: N3 Doctor Magic set - Safe, durable beauty solution at Mailisa. The N3 Doctor Magic set for melasma, velvet, probiotics, and darker color is exclusively distributed by Mailisa. The product is effective when used in the right instructions, in the right dosage: right amount of oiling helps the skin improve slowly, healthily and smoothly; Overexposure easily causes strong peeling, redness - a sign that the dosage needs to be reduced according to Mailisa's advice...
N3 formula contains Retinol, BHA/AHA light, 4- Butylresorcinol, Tranexamic Acid, Vitamin C, E, Hexapeptide-3 and herbal extract... supporting to fade melasma - freckles, reduce darkness, brighten the skin, stimulate collagen, improve firmness and elasticity. The product set has been tested by the Ministry of Health. In particular, all Doctor Magic products have a legal cosmetic declaration form licensed by the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health), certified as safe, standard and eligible for circulation in Vietnam.

Mailisa affirms that quality is the top priority, the product is "eland-famous - affordable" and has been trusted for many years.
On Tiktok page: mailisa_group, advertisements for Mailisa beauty salon's hot products such as N3 have not been withdrawn.
In a video in 2025, Ms. Mai said that the shipment of 4 containers including 60,000 N3 sets was still not enough for more than 100,000 pre-orders.

Ms. Mai has repeatedly affirmed that the product is safe. In fact, the imported batches of Mailisa cosmetics are often very large, but still do not keep up with demand. Regarding the origin, the Doctor Magic product set is introduced as an " ordered item", but the information on the packaging shows that they are processed by Guangzhou YRM Biotechnology factory ( guangzhou, China).

Mailisa was established by Ms. Phan Thi Mai in 1998, from a small beauty facility to a 16-17 branch system with more than 2,000 employees. During the expansion process, Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh - Mrs. Mai's husband - took on the executive role. Many legal entities named Mailisa are represented by Mr. Khanh.
Mailisa was fined VND 160 million by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate in early 2023 for providing unlicensed medical examination and treatment services and advertising without a license. The facility was suspended from medical examination and treatment for 18 months.
Mrs. Mai and her husband are also famous for their luxurious life with a 4,000 m2 villa and a supercar collection worth hundreds of billions of VND. They also regularly share about large-scale charity activities.
The Ministry of Public Security has not yet announced the cause and content of the incident, many documents have been seized to serve the investigation.
