On September 15, Mr. Nguyen Quang - Director of Cam Lo Regional General Hospital said that from the evening of September 14 to 10:30 am on September 15, the hospital received 42 patients with symptoms of food poisoning. Currently, 41 patients have been hospitalized for treatment, and 1 person has requested to return home for treatment.
Patients said that they had previously eaten bread at a newly opened bakery named M.T in a village in Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province.
According to Cam Lo Commune People's Committee, as of 10:30 am on September 15, the locality recorded 42 people showing signs of suspected food poisoning after eating bread bought at M.T shop, including 8 students. These cases all showed symptoms related to the digestive tract such as vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, diarrhea and signs of dehydration.

When the incident occurred, Cam Lo Commune People's Committee coordinated with specialized agencies to inspect M.T bread business establishment, and at the same time took food samples to serve verification work.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Long - Vice Chairman of Cam Lo Commune People's Committee said that M.T bread establishment has temporarily suspended operations while waiting for functional agencies to clarify the case.
