On October 22, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh - Deputy Director of the Central Highlands General Hospital confirmed that he had asked Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong - Head of the hospital's Dentistry Department to dismantle the cameras attached to the department that were not in accordance with regulations.
Accordingly, in recent days, some patients when coming to the hospital for examination have felt uncomfortable when seeing cameras chieu on them. Many people do not want their photos to be exposed, so they have consulted with doctors.
According to Dr. Thinh, there is a situation where a camera is self-attached at the Dentistry without a written report to the board of directors. Therefore, the hospital's leaders directly attended a department meeting, requesting a detailed report on the incident.
"I have directed the cameras to be removed immediately to rebuild the process from the ground up. The department must meet, submit a report, and ask for a policy to clearly explain how the purpose of the association is, and who is responsible for the confidentiality of patient information and images. At the same time, submit to the hospital's leaders for consideration and resolution," Mr. Thinh added.
