On July 10, Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital (Ca Mau province) organized the announcement of putting into operation the 512-slice Spectroscopic CT system applying AI, marking the addition of modern diagnostic imaging equipment to the hospital's in-depth technical system.
Speaking at the ceremony, MSc.BS Pham Thanh Vu - Chairman of the Hospital's Board of Directors - said that the 512-slice Spectrum CT system is expected to improve diagnostic imaging capacity for many disease groups such as cardiovascular, neurological, stroke, tumor, emergency and general diseases, supporting doctors in the process of diagnosis and treatment.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bot - Head of Professional Affairs Department, Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health, the hospital's investment in putting the 512-slice CT System into operation contributes to improving professional capacity, creating conditions for people in the area to access modern diagnostic techniques right in the locality, and reducing the need for referrals for some cases.
According to information from the hospital, the 512-slice Spectroscopic CT system has the ability to simultaneously survey multiple parameters in one scan, serving to assess cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, calcification levels, myocardial irrigation and heart function. The device is also integrated with AI applications to support image processing, helping doctors have more data during the diagnosis process.

Putting the 512-slice Spectroscopic CT system into operation further completes the hospital's in-depth diagnostic imaging system along with equipment such as MRI 3.0 Tesla and the digital background scanning system (DSA), contributing to expanding access to high-tech services for people in the Mekong Delta region.
