On the afternoon of September 18, the Military Command of An Giang province organized the announcement of the decision to license the operation of An Giang Provincial Military - Civil Hospital in Long Xuyen ward. Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 attended and delivered a directing speech.
The Provincial Military-Civilian Hospital is located in Long Xuyen ward, An Giang province, invested synchronously with a scale of 100 beds and a modern medical equipment system. According to the military-civilian medical combination model, the hospital performs the task of examining, treating, and taking care of the health of officers, soldiers of the armed forces and people in the area.
For An Giang province, the operation of the Military - Civil Hospital contributes to supplementing local medical resources, ready to mobilize in disease prevention and control, disaster response, disaster response and unexpected situations. In normal conditions, the hospital contributes to reducing pressure on the local health system and upper-level military hospitals, and at the same time creates conditions for soldiers and people to access medical examination and treatment services right in the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu sent congratulations and emphasized that the event aims to mark an important turning point, creating a legal basis for An Giang Provincial Military-Civilian Hospital to officially go into medical examination and treatment; and at the same time affirmed the concern of the Party Committee of the Military Region and An Giang province in implementing the policy of combining military-civilian medicine, taking care of and protecting the health of soldiers, policy beneficiaries and people in the area.
The Deputy Commander of the Military Region requested that in the coming time, all officers and staff of the Provincial Military-Civilian Hospital continue to thoroughly grasp the position, functions, and tasks of the hospital; build political determination and a sense of responsibility. All activities must strictly comply with the provisions of law, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Health and the Military Region. Each officer and staff must well implement Uncle Ho's teaching "Doctors must be like mothers", respect patients, communicate properly, consider the health and safety of patients as the highest requirements, and clearly promote the nature and functions of the military-civilian medical model.
The hospital must both do a good job of ensuring the health of soldiers and actively participate in taking care of people's health, especially policy beneficiaries, people in border areas, remote areas, ethnic minority areas, and religious areas. Thereby continuing to consolidate the military-civilian solidarity, contributing to building a solid "people's heart formation" in the area.
