Accordingly, the Ministry of Health has decided to appoint BS.CKII Pham Thanh Viet - Deputy Director in charge of management and operation of Cho Ray Hospital, to hold the position of Director of Cho Ray Hospital. The term of office is 5 years.
Speaking at the decision announcement ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan emphasized the particularly important role of hospitals in the health system in the Southern region and the whole country.
According to the Minister, with a history of more than 125 years of formation and development, Cho Ray Hospital is a special-class general hospital under the Ministry of Health, receiving nearly 2 million visits each year, treating many severe and complex cases for people in southern provinces.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan highly appreciated the efforts of the hospital collective in the post-COVID-19 period when gradually overcoming difficulties in drugs, supplies, and equipment to stabilize professional activities and continue to affirm its position as a leading specialized medical center.
Also according to the Minister, Mr. Pham Thanh Viet has more than 30 years of working at the hospital, has held many management positions and has shown management capacity during his time in charge of the hospital before.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan hopes that the new Board of Directors will continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, promote scientific research, digital transformation and application of modern medical technology to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the people.
In particular, the Minister emphasized that Cho Ray Hospital needs to continue to promote its role as a specialized medical center of the Southern region, and at the same time expand new facilities to reduce overload and improve the patient experience.
Cho Ray is not only a major medical brand of Vietnam but also a reputable medical examination and treatment address for many international patients," Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan said.
BS.CKII Pham Thanh Viet - Director of Cho Ray Hospital said: "The task of director of Cho Ray Hospital is a very big responsibility. In my new position, I will bring the hospital to continue to promote digital transformation, develop specialized techniques, towards a smart hospital model and effectively deploy new facilities.
