Towards universal health management
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health Nguyen Chi Thanh said that organizing periodic health check-ups not only helps people raise awareness of health care, but also gradually changes thinking from "treating diseases" to "preventing diseases".
According to Mr. Thanh, the key goal of the health sector in 2026 is to ensure that 100% of people in the area have electronic health records and are integrated on the VNeID application.

This will be the basis for the health sector to comprehensively manage health, helping people proactively monitor their health status, and at the same time create favorable conditions for long-term medical examination and treatment," Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh emphasized.
After the launching ceremony, localities in the province simultaneously deployed free health check-ups and screenings in 18 communes and wards and will continue to expand to all 64 communes and wards in the near future.

According to the plan of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, in the period 2026 - 2030, the program will be implemented according to specific target groups.
In 2026, the health sector will focus on health check-ups for children under 24 months old; students; workers; officials, civil servants, public employees; armed forces; the elderly; social protection beneficiaries and people being cared for at social assistance facilities.

From 2027 to 2030, the province will continue to expand more target groups such as students, freelancers, farmers, fishermen, small traders and people not under the management of employers.
