Recently, okra water soaked overnight has been used by many people as a health-supporting drink, including maintaining a healthy joint system.
Popcorns are a fairly good source of calcium and vitamin K. These are two nutrients that play an important role in the formation and maintenance of bone density. Vitamin K helps the body use calcium more effectively, thereby contributing to protecting strong bones over time.
Nutrition expert Sereen Zawahri Krasuna, Cleveland Clinic Medical System (USA) said that vitamin K is a necessary nutrient to develop and maintain the strength of the skeletal system. In addition, okra also contains many antioxidant compounds that help reduce inflammation in the body.
To make okra juice, users can wash 2-3 fresh okra fruits, cut them in half lengthwise and soak them in about 250-300 ml of clean water overnight. The next morning, filter out the residue and drink the soaked water before breakfast.
However, experts note that the benefits for bone and joint health are mainly recorded from eating whole okra. There are still few scientific studies proving that okra juice has superior effects compared to using okra in daily meals.
Experts also emphasize that to maintain a healthy bone system, the body needs to be provided with enough calcium, vitamin D, protein and a reasonable exercise regimen. Therefore, okra juice should only be considered a supplement to a healthy lifestyle, not an alternative to a balanced diet.
