However, in addition to the positive contributions of private polyclinics, currently through information and reality channels, inspections and examinations show that some private polyclinics still violate legal regulations on medical examination and treatment.
Some violations were pointed out such as: practicing beyond the scope of professional activities allowed; advertising beyond the scope of professional activities allowed; not publicizing prices of medical examination and treatment services or listing prices but collecting fees higher than the listed prices; "drawing diseases, extorting money" from patients; not arranging enough personnel, medical equipment, and facilities to conduct medical examination and treatment according to the approved specialties in the medical examination and treatment license, etc.
The Department of Health also pointed out that the case of Binh Thuan General Clinic in Binh Thuan province was recently inspected and had violations: employees did not wear a nameplate when performing medical examination and treatment; did not fully list at the drug sales location of the pharmaceutical business establishment and collected higher medical examination and treatment service fees than the listed price.
The above violations have directly affected the health and economy of patients and caused public outrage.
To rectify activities at private general clinics, provide good quality services, and ensure safety for patients, the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province requires those responsible for the technical expertise of clinics to continue reviewing and rectifying medical examination and treatment activities at clinics; ensure proper implementation of professional regulations and medical examination and treatment procedures. The name of the signboard must be true to the name in the operating license.
At the same time, do not advertise or organize medical examination and treatment beyond the permitted professional scope; publicly post the service price list at the facility, making it convenient for people to grasp information and choose; ensure enough personnel to conduct medical examination and treatment according to the specialties approved in the medical examination and treatment license at the clinic; doctors with practice certificates in accordance with the specialized specialty in charge; wear a nameplate when performing medical examination and treatment.
The Department of Health of Binh Thuan province will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to continue inspecting and examining the organization of medical examination and treatment activities at clinics and handling violations in medical examination and treatment activities according to regulations.
