On November 25, patient N.H.D (42 years old, residing in Gia Lai province) was conscious, had no chest pain, no difficulty breathing and was expected to be discharged from the hospital in the next few days.
Previously, on November 22, the Department of Emergency and Anti-Poisoning - Ha Tinh General Hospital received patient N.H.D with symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath. After being admitted to the hospital for 3 minutes, the patient lost consciousness, turned purple and was determined by doctors to have cardiac arrest.
Immediately, doctors from the Emergency Department coordinated with the Department of Cardiology to perform emergency cardiac arrest according to the regimen such as cardiac arrest, electric shock, and endotracheal placement.
After 30 minutes of emergency efforts, the patient's heart rate returned, and doctors diagnosed the patient with acute myocardial infarction with complications of arrhythmia and respiratory arrest.
Immediately after the mach and blood pressure were stable, the patient was prescribed a vitamin camera and emergency coronary artery intervention. The scan results showed a thrombosis causing a complete blockage of the right coronary artery (RCA), after which the patient was given a procedure to suck out a large amount of thrombosis and had 2 stents placed in the blockage location.
After the intervention, coronary artery flow had to be restored, the patient showed signs of provinceence, was given vasopressor and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.
After 3 days of active treatment, the patient was given vasopressors, intubation and transferred to the Department of Cardiology for treatment.
