Regarding the serious accident on the morning of July 22, according to the information received by the reporter, the identities of the victims include: Le Xuan T. (born in 1982) - an officer of the Economic Department of Thanh Yen commune; Tu Khoa T. (born in 1968); Vu Bao L. (born in 1991) and Lo Van T. (born in 1985).
On the evening of July 22, information from Dien Bien General Hospital said that when taking the 3 victims to the hospital, the specialized units quickly moved the victims to the Emergency Department to conduct an assessment of the level and classification of patients for emergency care.
One of them was diagnosed with facial trauma and a concussion. Currently, the patient has been transferred to the Trauma - Orthopedic - burns Department for monitoring and treatment.
The two cases were initially assessed as multiple injuries, including gas overflow, pleural epidemics, and lung collapse. paraclinical instructions such as ultrasound, X-ray, blood gas and electrocardiogram tests are performed right on the hospital bed.
The two victims were treated by doctors to open the lung medium for continuous drainage, place endotracheal tubes, catheter veins for intensive resuscitation, control ventilated ventilation by artificial inhales ( breathing in a machine), and place the stomach duct.
According to information from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, on the evening of July 22, among the three patients mentioned above, patient Le Xuan T (43 years old, Dien Bien Phu City) was diagnosed with multiple injuries and critical shock, and will be transferred to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital for further treatment.
The remaining two patients, including Vu Bao L. (34 years old, Dien Bien) with a closed chest injury, and Tu Khoa T. (57 years old, Ha Dong, Hanoi) with a head injury - were assigned to be monitored, treated on the spot and continue to receive remote professional support from doctors at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 8:30 a.m. on July 22, the Pa Thom suspension bridge across the Nam Mua river, in Pa Xa Lao village, Thanh Yen commune, suddenly broke, causing the entire bridge surface to overturn and make it impossible for traffic. The accident caused the pickup truck carrying 3 people and 1 person driving a motorbike to fall into the river.
At about 6:15 p.m. the same day, with the support of specialized vehicles, the pickup truck was brought ashore. At the scene, the Toyota Hilux pickup truck was severely damaged.
