On February 16, the Dak Lak Provincial Industrial Park Management Board said that the unit has requested businesses in Hoa Phu Industrial Park (Buon Ma Thuot city) to strengthen prevention of influenza, measles and respiratory diseases.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health, the dry season and monsoon climate, and humid mud create favorable conditions for respiratory diseases to develop. This increases the risk of seasonal flu, measles and rash fever.
Festivals are taking place at the beginning of the year, gathering crowds at tourist destinations, increasing the risk of infection.
Mr. Truong Ho Anh Hoang, Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, said that the unit has requested businesses to propagate and encourage workers to get vaccinated against influenza and measles to protect their health and stabilize production activities.
Units need to ensure environmental sanitation, monitor workers' health and limit contact with suspected cases of disease.
Business owners must also monitor and detect suspected cases early to coordinate with medical facilities to control the epidemic.
