On the morning of July 8, speaking with Lao Dong, Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health Le Quang Hung said that this morning, the Department of Health's Working Group continued to work with P.D General Clinic (located in Quy Nhon Ward) to clarify the reflection that this clinic collects unusually high medical examination and treatment service fees.
According to Mr. Hung, by the afternoon of July 7, the clinic had not yet provided complete information related to the incident, so there was currently no report on the results of the inspection and verification of the incident.

"Along with verification, the Working Group will review all medical examination and treatment activities at the clinic. The Department of Health will report to the Provincial People's Committee and inform the press immediately after receiving the results," said Mr. Hung.
As Lao Dong has reported, previously, on Facebook, information was spread that P.D General Clinic "ripped off" people. According to the Facebook account "Truong Oanh", on July 5, Mr. Nguyen C had a urinary tract, so he went to P.D General Clinic for a health check. After receiving the treatment, the clinic informed Mr. C to pay 30 million VND for treatment according to a 3-month treatment plan.
However, Mr. C only had more than 13 million VND with him at that time, so he had paid in advance (the clinic did not issue a receipt). After that, the clinic continued to ask Mr. C's family to pay the remaining 17 million VND to perform the treatment.
When Mr. C's family requested clarification of the fees and wished to stop the examination, the clinic only presented some documents recorded in general such as the "treatment fee" bill of 6.2 million VND, "test fee" of 800,000 VND, "medicine fee" of 660,000 VND...
The account "Truong Oanh" said that his family spent nearly 10 million VND for a medical examination at this private facility. It is worth mentioning that the documents of the fees are recorded together and not specifically.
Responding to the incident, a representative of the P.D General Clinic confirmed that the incident occurred but affirmed that the nature was not as the information spread on social networks.
Explaining Mr. C's medical examination fee of more than 8.8 million VND, the clinic representative said that this is the cost according to the treatment plan agreed upon with the patient.
According to the representative of P.D General Clinic, after performing initial diagnostic steps such as testing and ultrasound, a specific treatment regimen was developed. To facilitate the treatment process, avoiding patients having to pay many times, the clinic has collected a one-time fee for the entire treatment.
When he was first treated, a person claiming to be Mr. C's nephew came and asked to stop treatment. The clinic has proposed to meet the patient directly to make a petition and write a commitment to stop treatment, but this person did not cooperate, so the unit had to invite the police to resolve the matter.
