Many challenges in the last 6 months of the year
On July 7, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee opened its first conference. The conference also aims to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and the tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; review and approve the Working Regulations of the Provincial Party Committee, the Working Regulations of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 term and other important contents.
Speaking at the conference, Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said that in the first 6 months of the year, the world situation continued to develop complicatedly; domestic and domestically, there were still many difficulties in the market, capital flows, natural disasters, epidemics... However, the two old provinces of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh achieved positive results compared to the set goals.

Binh Dinh is estimated to achieve GRDP growth of 7.92%; Gia Lai is estimated to reach 6. 90%; the whole Gia Lai province is only 7.49%.
However, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung frankly acknowledged that the province still faces many major challenges in the last 6 months of the year. The pressure to complete the economic growth target of 8% or more according to the target assigned by the Central Government is very high, especially in the context of limited policy space.
In addition, the coordination of management and implementation between sectors and localities after the merger still needs more time to be completed; regulations, mechanisms, policies and planning are not synchronous and complete.

Some shortcomings and problems from the two previous provinces have not been completely resolved, especially in the implementation of works and projects; digital transformation; restructuring industries, agriculture, services; as well as improving the investment environment.
At the same time, the province must simultaneously carry out many important tasks, especially preparing for the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; organize celebrations of major holidays of the country and the province; start or speed up the progress of many key projects.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the task of the last 6 months of the year is very heavy, requiring the entire Party Committee to have higher political determination, innovative thinking, drastic action and more flexible management.
