The 100-day campaign to create and update electronic health records in Phu Tho province will be implemented from July 8 to October 15, 2026 at public and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities and health stations.
According to information from the Department of Health, the unit has reviewed medical facilities, accounts, infrastructure, medical examination and treatment management software and digital signatures. Units are guided on the process of collecting, checking, cleaning, digital signing and sending data.
In communes and wards, support forces are mobilized to propagate and guide people to install, activate and use Electronic Health Records.
For example, in Vinh Yen ward, 34 guiding groups have been established to support people in accessing digital utilities to serve medical examination and treatment.
To date, 148/148 communes, wards and 100% of health facilities in the province have developed plans and implemented the campaign.
However, the implementation process still faces some difficulties. Data quality is not uniform, some identification information is missing or incorrect.
Infrastructure and software at some medical facilities are not synchronized. Information technology human resources are still thin, while a part of the population, especially the elderly and people in difficult areas, still have limited skills in using digital platforms.
According to the Department of Health's information on the Phu Tho Provincial Information Portal in mid-September, to complete the goal of 100% health check-up records, in the coming time, the Department will continue to coordinate with the Provincial Police and agencies and units to deploy the integration of health insurance cards into the Electronic Health Record on the VNeID application for people according to the process.
The Department also directed medical examination and treatment facilities to continue to collect and update data to the Health Data Portal; interlink medical examination and treatment data of patients without health insurance to the Health Data Portal of the Ministry of Health.
At the same time, supervise, urge, and inspect the progress and quality of implementation, thereby gradually forming a unified personal health database, effectively serving the management and care of people's health on a digital platform.
