HUE - Hue City recorded 12 cases of streptococcus purple, of which 1 person died; the health sector urgently controlled and promoted disease prevention.

On July 7, the Hue City Department of Health confirmed that the locality had just recorded 12 cases of streptococcus purple, of which 1 person died. The cases were discovered scattered from June 26 to present.

The death case was Mr. B.V.C (50 years old, residing in Thuan Hoa ward). On the evening of July 1, Mr. C. showed signs of fever but still ate normally, taking fever-reducing medicine on his own. By the morning of July 2, the patient was tired, taken to Hue Central Hospital and died the same afternoon. The test results determined that Mr. C. was positive for streptococcus Suis.

Epidemiological investigation shows that the patient's family and neighbors did not raise pigs; no disease was detected in the pigs in the area. People in close contact have not shown similar symptoms. However, the environmental treatment around the patient's house was temporarily postponed due to the funeral being held.

The remaining 11 cases are currently being treated at Hue Central Hospital, all of which tested positive for streptococcusatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedatedated. Patients are distributed in the wards: Kim Long, Phu Xuan, Huong An, An Cuu, Thuan An, Thuy Xuan, Duong No (2 people) and Thuan Hoa (3 people).

The Hue City Center for Disease Control in coordination with local health centers has sprayed 25% of Cloramine B disinfectant at the residence and nearby areas of the cases. At the same time, strengthen supervision and direct dissemination to people about disease signs, health monitoring and precautions for streptococcus Cervical cord.

According to a report from the veterinary force, there was no outbreak of green-eared pigs in the wards related to the cases. However, the health sector still raises the warning level, strengthens mobile handling teams, adds equipment, medicines, epidemic prevention chemicals and maintains on-duty and reporting according to regulations.

Since the beginning of the year, Hue City has only recorded 1 case of streptococcus purple before this epidemic.
