On the afternoon of July 3, Kien Hung Ward People's Committee (Hanoi City) said that it had urgently coordinated with functional agencies to implement measures to overcome the consequences of the fire that occurred at house number 11, adjacent to 9, Van Phu Urban Area, Phu La 2 Residential Group. The fire killed two people and seriously injured one person.
According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Kien Hung ward, at about 1:30 PM on July 3rd, a fire broke out at the above house. Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Hanoi City Police, along with the 115 Emergency Force and functional units, quickly arrived at the scene, deploying firefighting, rescue, and relief work. By about 2:10 PM on the same day, the fire was basically controlled and extinguished.
The fire killed Mr. N.V.T (born in 1990) and his son, N.T. D (11 years old) at the scene. N.T. T (born in 2013) suffered burns to about 60% of her body area, mainly in the head, face, arms and back, and is currently being actively treated at the Intensive Care Unit, Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns. The victims all have permanent residence registration in Nghia Dan commune, Hung Yen province.
Right in the afternoon of July 3, leaders of the City People's Committee and Kien Hung Ward People's Committee established a working delegation led by leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to directly visit and encourage families of victims and victims being treated at the Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns.
On the same day, implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, Comrade Dinh Hong Phong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, along with representatives of the Social Protection Department, the Social Work Center and the Hanoi Children's Fund, directly visited and encouraged the victims and their families.
At the Emergency Resuscitation Department, Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns, the working delegation visited and encouraged baby N.T. T and presented a support amount of 6.5 million VND from the city to share difficulties and support the treatment process. After that, at the Funeral Home of Ha Dong General Hospital, the Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health sent deep condolences to the relatives of the deceased victims, and at the same time presented financial support from the city for two deaths, each case 32.5 million VND, total amount of 65 million VND.
In addition to the State's support, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Hung ward are expected to continue to provide initial support from social mobilization sources and other legal funding sources. Accordingly, families of each deceased victim will receive an additional 20 million VND, while injured victims are expected to receive 10 million VND to contribute to sharing difficulties and helping families stabilize their lives soon.
To urgently overcome the consequences of the fire, the Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee has assigned the City Police to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Kien Hung ward and related units to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the fire, determine the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals and handle them according to the provisions of law.
In addition, the Department of Health, Kien Hung Ward People's Committee and related units are assigned to continue to organize visits and provide timely support both materially and spiritually to the families of the victims; and at the same time implement environmental sanitation measures in the area where the fire occurred. The City People's Committee also requested units to regularly update the situation and promptly report contents beyond their authority for the Chairman of the City People's Committee to consider and direct the resolution.
