Interest in and investment in medical infrastructure
Mr. Le Van Khoa - Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health said that in recent times, the sector has implemented many key tasks, concretizing Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as other resolutions and action programs.
A series of investment projects, hospital upgrades, along with human resource development and in-depth technical transfer are creating a strong change for the Khanh Hoa health system.
One of the strategic goals is to turn Khanh Hoa General Hospital into an end-line hospital in the South Central Coast region.
Along with that, in September 2025, the S.I.S Nha Trang International General Hospital Project will officially break ground.
This is the first in-depth stroke treatment project in the South Central region, and is also a project to celebrate the Provincial Party Congress.
In recent years, the province has paid attention to investing in many new medical facilities. The two hospitals, the Oncology Hospital and the Yersin Nha Trang General Hospital, have been put into operation.
In addition, a series of other projects are also being implemented such as expanding Ninh Hoa Regional General Hospital; building a Center for Disease Control; Ninh Hoa Medical Center, Van Ninh Medical Center; Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital...
According to Director of the Department of Health Le Van Khoa, the provincial health system is widely distributed, the infrastructure is invested synchronously, helping people easily access services.
At the same time, the industry also focuses on training human resources and implementing many advanced techniques to effectively serve the work of community health care.

Focus on service quality and technical transfer
Infrastructure investment efforts go hand in hand with improving professional quality. The results achieved are remarkable: the number of hospital beds/10,000 people reached 36.4; the number of doctors/10,000 people is estimated at 12; the rate of children under 5 years old with undernourishment and undernourishment is 10.4%; the rate of people participating in health insurance is 95.43%.
These figures reflect a clear change in people's health care.
Khanh Hoa Health Department also strengthens the direction of medical examination and treatment in the direction of taking patients as the center.
Solutions include improving the quality of testing, infection control, nursing, antibiotics, medical examination and forensic examination.

Inspection, examination, and licensing of medical practice are carried out regularly to ensure the safety and rights of patients.
Emergency and prevention work was deployed synchronously. The industry always reserves medicine, blood, infusion and necessary equipment, especially focusing on emergency care for traffic accidents, food poisoning...
All emergency patients are admitted and treated promptly, without being rejected or delayed.
Another highlight is the technical transfer activity. Khanh Hoa General Hospital continues to receive transfers from the upper level and supports the lower level according to Project 1816.
The industry has synthesized the needs, developed a specific support plan until 2025, helping to improve the capacity of grassroots levels, reduce the burden on provincial levels and bring higher quality medical services right in the locality.
The above results show the determination to innovate and improve the quality of service of the Khanh Hoa Health Sector.
This is also a practical action of the industry towards welcoming the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, contributing to building a modern and sustainable health system, serving the cause of socio-economic development and protecting people's health.
