On the morning of September 17, at the Standing meeting of the Provincial People's Council, the members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council agreed to assign Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - to run the activities of the Provincial People's Council, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term VII, 2021 - 2026, until the Provincial People's Council elects a new Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
On September 16, at the 2nd session of the 7th term Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - was dismissed from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
The meeting also conducted the election and passed a resolution confirming the election results of Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation from the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
The reason is that Mr. Tran Quoc Nam retired from work at his personal request from September 12, 2025.
