On December 25, Quang Tri General Hospital confirmed that the unit had just performed emergency care and successfully rescued a seriously injured patient.
Previously, patient Truong Ngoc S. (14 years old, residing in Lao Bao commune, Quang Tri province) was admitted to the Emergency Resuscitation Department of the Provincial General Hospital in critical condition. After examination, the patient showed signs of shock and blood loss with a tight abdomen, unstable bleeding, weak fasting 125 times/minute, blood pressure only 85/60mmHg.
Immediately upon admission, doctors performed intensive resuscitation, fluid infusion, blood transfusion, use vasopressors and CT scan with optical barrier. The results showed that the patient had a grade IV right liver injury, grade II laio data, high abdominal blood, a condition that directly threatened his life.
In response to the serious developments, Quang Tri General Hospital has activated a red alert for the entire hospital, organized an urgent consultation between the departments of General Surgery, Intensive Care - Anti-Poisoning and Emergency Resuscitation, chaired by Dr. Truong Vinh Quy - Deputy Director of the hospital.
The patient was transferred directly to the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Surgery Department for emergency surgery. During the surgery, the team recorded about 3 liters of free blood in the abdomen, severe liver damage, broken VI and VII fertilizers, and massive bleeding. Doctors urgently controlled the bleeding, performed Partial liver VI and VII catation, blood stasis, treated the small gallbladder and placed a blood stasis to completely control the damage.
After surgery, the patient was monitored and actively treated in the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department. After 4 days, the patient's health improved significantly, he was alert, his vital signs were stable, and he recovered well.
