Lang Son Provincial Social Insurance (BHXH) has just organized a Conference to disseminate some provisions of the law on health insurance (BHYT) on September 21.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Department of Health, Provincial Police; leaders and officials of provincial social insurance, grassroots social insurance, along with representatives of health insurance medical examination and treatment facilities, commune and ward health stations, and station points in the area.
At the conference, delegates were informed about the health insurance examination and treatment situation in the first 8 months of 2026. According to the report, the whole province had more than 720,000 visits for health insurance examination and treatment, a decrease of 11,513 visits compared to the same period last year.
Total health insurance medical examination and treatment expenditure during this period reached more than 531 billion VND, an increase of more than 2.2 billion VND compared to the same period in 2025.
Along with updating the results of policy implementation, the conference thoroughly grasped the provisions of Article 7 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and Article 11 of the Law on Health Insurance on prohibited acts in medical examination and treatment activities and the implementation of health insurance policies.
Representatives of the Police Department for Investigation of Corruption, Economic, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes (PC03), Lang Son Provincial Police disseminate the provisions of the Penal Code on the crime of social insurance fraud, unemployment insurance; health insurance fraud; evasion of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees.
The content focuses on legal signs, penalty frameworks and additional penalties for individuals and commercial legal entities with violations. Through this, officials working on social insurance, health insurance and staff at medical examination and treatment facilities are updated with additional signs to note in the process of performing their duties.
Delegates were also implemented Article 51, Article 52 of Decree No. 188/2025/ND-CP dated July 1, 2025 of the Government, detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Health Insurance Law.
The discussion session focused on updating, standardizing and interlinking data to serve payment of health insurance medical examination and treatment costs; appraisal, completion of dossiers, payment procedures and identification of signs of fraud and fund profiteering.
Units also exchanged views on difficulties arising in practice, thereby agreeing on handling methods, strengthening self-review and cost control right from the grassroots level.
Lang Son Provincial Social Insurance said that strengthening coordination between social insurance agencies, the health sector, the police force and medical examination and treatment facilities is aimed at improving the efficiency of fund management. At the same time, units proactively prevent, detect and handle violations in accordance with their functions and authority.
Through this, the health insurance fund is managed and used in accordance with regulations, contributing to ensuring the rights of participants.
