Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital, Principal of Bach Mai Medical College said: The unit has proposed to establish Bach Mai University of Medicine and Pharmacy, on the basis of upgrading Bach Mai Medical College.
According to Mr. Co, when approved, the school will be a place to train high-quality medical human resources, with a team of leading experts directly teaching clinical trials. Students have the opportunity to study with international experts and access an advanced medical environment.
The hospital is urgently completing the project. Bach Mai University of Medicine and Pharmacy will operate under an autonomous model, with initial support from the Government.
Dr. Bui Minh Thu - Vice Principal of Bach Mai Medical College - said: the school is completing the criteria for facilities, teaching staff and training programs according to university standards. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will focus on developing bachelor's training programs in application orientation, expanding international cooperation and improving the capacity of the teaching staff, meeting the requirements of training high-quality medical human resources.
In 2025, Bach Mai Medical College recorded 7,500 applications, three times higher than previous years, while the enrollment quota was 1,390. The 1:00 success rate shows that the high level of competition and input quality are increasingly improved, affirming the prestige and attraction of the school to candidates across the country.
"The success of this year's admission season comes from outstanding results in the 2024-2025 school year: nearly 60% of students graduated with good grades, 18 students successfully defended their course in key majors such as Nursing and Medical Testing.
In particular, 85% of recruiting units highly appreciate the ability and working attitude of students, reflecting the quality of training close to reality. Scientific research activities are also promoted with 6 topics being implemented, contributing to improving creative thinking and professional skills for lecturers and students", said Dr. Bui Minh Thu.

The entire process from application submission, training management, exam - test to degree issuance is digitized and integrated synchronously.
