A company recalled and destroyed 511 cosmetic products

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) requested the suspension of circulation, recall and destruction of 511 cosmetic products manufactured by Viet Huong Cosmetics Co., Ltd. nationwide.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued a notice suspending circulation, recalling and destroying 511 cosmetic products manufactured by Viet Huong Cosmetics Co., Ltd. nationwide.

The reason for the recall was determined to be that the company did not implement a quality management system according to the "Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics" (CGMP-ASEAN) standards as prescribed by law.

The recall list includes many skin care products, hair care products, perfumes, serums, sunscreens, facial cleansers... from many different distribution units. Some outstanding products have names such as Moc Tam Shower Gel, Whitening Serum, Sun Cream, Silver Shampoo, Dakami Black Ginseng, Refreshacne Toner, Yu Green Serum, Red Carnation Lipstick...

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to notify business establishments and users to immediately stop trading and using products on the recall list; and at the same time strengthen inspection and handle violations according to regulations.

Viet Huong Cosmetics Co., Ltd. must send a recall notice to distributors, receive returned products and proceed to destroy all substandard products. The recall result report must be sent to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before June 10, 2026.

On the same day, the Drug Administration of Vietnam also issued a document requesting A.Q. P Vietnam Company to suspend circulation, recall and destroy all 268 cosmetic products that will be suspended from circulation and recalled nationwide. These products are produced at the company's factory in Soc Son commune, Hanoi.

The reason for the recall was determined to be that the enterprise did not deploy and apply a quality management system according to the set of principles and standards "Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics" (CGMP-ASEAN) in accordance with legal regulations.

On the recalled list are many lines of skin care cosmetics, sunscreens, serums, facial cleansers, makeup removers, deodorants and hair care products such as: Alysa feminine hygiene solution, Body Gold 24K, Perfect Foaming, Sun Cream, Hydra Serum, Bio Peel, Maxibac, L'Venta, Gluta White, Daily Sun Cream, Sunscreen, Whitening Body Cream, Aura Cleansing Mousse and hundreds of other products.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests Departments of Health of provinces and cities to quickly notify cosmetic business and users in the area to immediately stop trading and using the above-mentioned 268 products; and at the same time return them to the supply unit. Localities are also assigned the task of inspecting, supervising and strictly handling violating units according to current regulations.

For A.Q. P Vietnam Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Joint Stock Company, the enterprise must send a recall notice to distributors, receive returned products and proceed to recall all cosmetics that do not meet regulations for destruction. The recall result report must be sent to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before June 10, 2026.

The Hanoi Department of Health is assigned the task of monitoring the process of recalling and destroying violating products of the company, and at the same time reporting the results to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before June 15, 2026.

On the same day, the Drug Administration also issued an official dispatch to suspend circulation, recall and destroy 2 cosmetic products announced and brought to the market by Thanh Lam One Member Company Limited. The two recalled products include: MesoInstitute Hair Repair Hair Solution and Pressensa Quality Dermal Solutions Defensextra 80+ SPF.

According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, the reason for the recall is that the products have formulas that are not in accordance with the approved declaration dossier, and the labels indicating uses are not consistent with the declaration dossier.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam also issued a decision to suspend circulation, recall and destroy 3 cosmetic products announced and distributed on the market by The Vigo Import-Export Service Trading Co., Ltd.

The three recalled products include: Laboratorios Babé - Stop Akn Hidratante Reparadora/Stop Akn Repairing Moisturiser, Revision Skincare Retinol Complete 0.5 and Ekseption White-Up Sorbet.

According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, the reason for the recall is that cosmetic products have formulas that are not in accordance with the declared dossiers approved by functional agencies.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests Departments of Health of provinces and cities to notify establishments trading and using cosmetics to immediately stop trading and using the above 3 products; and at the same time strengthen inspection, supervision and handle violations according to regulations.

The Drug Administration also issued a notice to suspend circulation and recall nationwide 4 cosmetic products announced by Kotrans Co., Ltd. Branch in Hanoi. The recalled products include: VT RETI-A REEDLE SHOT 700, Torriden CELLMAZING Pore Perfecting Ampoule, VT CICA COLLAGEN MASK and UNOVE DEEP DAMAGE REPAIR SHAMPOO SWEET BREEZE.

According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, the reason for the recall is that products with labels indicating uses are not consistent with the announced dossier and do not meet the regulations on cosmetic labeling.
