On the morning of September 11, fisherman Nguyen Van Nam (48 years old, residing in Son Tra ward, Da Nang city) was in critical condition after being promptly rescued by the Da Nang City Border Guard and taken to shore for emergency care.
In the early morning of the same day, while fishing in the area about 20 nautical miles north-northeast of Son Tra peninsula, Mr. Nam was unfortunately hit head by a fishing boat, leading to a continuous vomiting, unconsciousness, and life-threatening death.

As soon as receiving information from the Da Nang Coastal Information Station and Son Tra Border Guard Station, the City Border Guard urgently coordinated with the 115 Emergency Center to dispatch the BP 089801 ship and 8 officers, soldiers and medical staff to go to sea to support.
Rescue forces approached the fishing boat, gave first aid and quickly brought the victim to the mainland.
At around 7am, Mr. Nam was transferred to a medical facility for further treatment. Doctors said that the patient was past the critical stage.
