On November 18, Dong Hoi General Hospital (Quang Binh province) announced that it had just removed a large foreign object, a denture, from the stomach of a female patient.
On the same morning, patient N.T.L (66 years old, residing in Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province) was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain and nausea. The patient informed that while taking medicine, he accidentally swallowed his dentures.
During examination, doctors discovered a set of dentures about 5cm long, deep in the patient's stomach.
Doctors performed an endoscopy to remove the dentures. After removing the foreign object, fortunately the patient suffered no damage to his digestive system and was discharged from the hospital.
