The bridge section is near completion
Nhat Le 3 bridge across the Nhat Le River, belonging to the coastal road and Nhat Le 3 bridge project, has a total length of more than 2.8km. The project is invested by the Department of Planning and Investment (now the Department of Finance), with a total investment of about 1,300 billion VND, implementation time from 2022 to 2026.
This is a key traffic project, of particular importance in completing urban infrastructure, connecting the two banks of the Nhat Le River, reducing the load on existing roads, and opening up new development space for coastal tourism cities.
The bridge is designed and built permanently with steel and prestressed reinforced concrete; the main bridge has a dome-shaped structure, creating a soft, modern shape; the access bridge uses a simple span structure, ensuring economy and sustainability.
According to the design, the road at both ends of the bridge is built according to urban main road standards, design speed of 60km/h, roadbed width from 23.5m to 54.5m, including 4 lanes. The road surface structure is made of asphalt concrete on a crushed stone base, ensuring load-bearing capacity and long-term exploitation.

Up to now, the Nhat Le 3 bridge section has been basically completed with a length of more than 560m, the bridge deck is 23.5m wide. Items such as asphalt pavement, sidewalk construction, installation of railings, and lighting systems are being urgently completed by construction units.
Mr. Le Minh Tri, a technical officer directly involved in the construction of Nhat Le 3 bridge, said that the unit is mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery to complete the final stages, ensuring traffic safety and the aesthetics of the project. "If the site is fully handed over, we can completely put the bridge into operation on schedule," Mr. Tri said.
However, although the main bridge section has been completed, the road leading to the bridge, especially the bridge foot area in Bao Ninh commune in the past (now belonging to Dong Hoi ward), has not been able to be implemented synchronously due to difficulties in site clearance.
Accelerate site clearance
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Vuong - Director of component project Management Board 2, Nhat Le 3 bridge and roads at both ends of the bridge, there are still 13 households who have not agreed on compensation, support and resettlement arrangement plans. The delay in site handover makes it impossible for contractors to organize continuous construction, directly affecting the overall plan of the project.

Faced with the above situation, the Dong Hoi ward government is actively coordinating with relevant units, strengthening dialogue, and mobilizing people to comply with the policy of land acquisition and handover of land for the project.
The consistent viewpoint is to ensure harmony of interests between the State and the people, strictly implement legal regulations, and be public and transparent in compensation, support and resettlement.
Representatives of Dong Hoi Ward People's Committee said that the locality has repeatedly organized meetings and direct dialogues with households still facing difficulties to listen to their thoughts and aspirations, and at the same time clearly explain related policies. However, so far, no general consensus has been reached.
In the coming time, the ward will continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and persuasion to help people understand and agree with the general policy.
In case all procedures have been completed according to regulations but households still do not comply, after 60 days from the date the compensation plan is approved, the government will carry out coercive steps in accordance with legal regulations to hand over clean ground for the project, ensuring construction progress.
