Dust, sugar and cosmetics, the silent enemy of the skin
Not only does air pollution increase, but consuming thick cosmetics, eating a lot of sweets or not getting enough sleep can also make the skin tired, prone to dehydration and inflammation. Smooth dust particles can cause irritation and dry skin, while high sugar in food increases the risk of acne, Dr. Shareefa Chause, a dermatologist in Mumbai (India), told Health Shots magazine.
According to her, not careful removal of makeup also contributes to clogged pores, discoloration and rapid aging. To regain elasticity, the detoxification and recovery process needs to start right from the gentle cleansing step.
Light cleaning, deep moisturizing and nourishing from within
Use a mild, sulfur-free cleanser to clean your skin every day. Avoid strong exfoliants as they can make your skin more sensitive and irritated, advises Dr Chause.
After cleansing, maintain skin moisture by drinking enough water and applying a mild moisturizer, without clogging pores.
At night, you should supplement Serums containing vitamin C or hyaluronic acid to help recover the skin from pollution, increase antioxidant and skin lightening properties. During the day, use an SPF sunscreen of 50 or higher to prevent UV rays from causing darkness, dryness and premature aging.
In addition to outside care, diet also needs to be adjusted. Reduce sweets, increase green vegetables, fruits and foods containing omega-3 such as fatty fish, walnuts, olive oil to nourish the skin from within.
Finally, steaming and exfoliating 1-2 times a week helps to deeply clean and unclog pores, helping skin care products to maximize their effectiveness.
