Russian plane carries 29 tons of emergency relief goods for people in flooded areas of Hue

On the morning of October 30, at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi), a Russian private plane landed, carrying 29 tons of emergency aid to the people of Hue city

At about 6:35 a.m. on October 30, flight number SUM 9121 of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation landed at Noi Bai airport.

The flight carried a shipment of emergency humanitarian aid with a total weight of about 29 tons, including many essential equipment to support people in flooded areas. Specifically, this shipment includes: 58 rescue boats and working boats, 55 tent sets, 1,000 sets of bowls, 1,000 blankets, 1,000 sets of blankets and a large amount of canned food.

At the reception ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam - Mr. Gennady Bezdetko - symbolically presented the aid to Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko expressed his deepest condolences to the Government and people of Vietnam for the loss of life and property caused by recent floods in the Northern and Central regions. The Ambassador affirmed that the Russian Federation is committed to continuing to accompany Vietnam in the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

On behalf of the receiving agency, Deputy Director Nguyen Truong Son respectfully thanked the valuable and timely support of the Government and people of the Russian Federation. Mr. Son emphasized that this is a noble gesture, demonstrating the traditional friendship between the two countries.

"We will closely coordinate to quickly transport all of these relief goods to Hue city, ensuring that the goods reach people affected by natural disasters as soon as possible," Mr. Son affirmed.
