On August 28, the Political Officer School coordinated with the Military Medical Academy, directly the Military Clinical Embryo Institute, to organize a program to propagate regimes, policies to support and orient infertility and sterility examination and treatment in the military environment.
Proactively accessing medical examination and treatment services
Speaking at the program, Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh The Son - Director of the Military Clinical Embryo Modeling Institute said that infertility is no longer a private problem of an individual or family but a health problem with a widespread impact in society. Therefore, raising awareness, early detection, examination and timely treatment is extremely necessary.
According to Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh The Son, for cadres, soldiers and those working in the military environment, policies to support infertility and sterility examination and treatment show the concern of the Party, State, Army and Ministry of National Defense for the lives, health, and family happiness of soldiers.
The program is organized to help officials, employees, trainees, and soldiers better understand the subjects, conditions and support regimes; and at the same time update progress in the field of reproductive support, thereby proactively accessing medical examination, counseling and treatment services when needed.
Representatives of the Military Clinical Embryology Institute introduced techniques and methods being applied in infertility examination and treatment; disseminated regimes and policies to support soldiers.
According to new regulations on standards and norms for logistical materials in the Vietnam People's Army, the cost of examination and treatment of infertility and sterility is paid according to actual costs, but not exceeding 150 million VND/person/year; each case is supported up to 5 times" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh The Son said.
The Military Clinical Embryology Institute determines that reproductive health care for soldiers and people is an important task. The Institute is one of the pioneering units in the field of reproductive support in Vietnam and the first official reproductive support treatment facility in the entire army.
Ensuring the right target
Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Quoc Trieu - Vice Rector of the Political Officer School - emphasized: Taking care of the material, spiritual, health and family happiness of officers and soldiers is always an important content in the leadership and direction of Party committees and commanders at all levels.
For military personnel facing difficulties in reproductive health, infertility, and sterility, the issue is not only related to medical expertise but also directly affects thoughts, feelings, family happiness, quality of life and peace of mind in work.
According to Major General Dinh Quoc Trieu, the implementation of regimes and policies to support infertility examination and treatment must be led and directed closely, ensuring the right subjects, standards and regulations; and at the same time maintaining humanity, delicacy, respecting privacy, creating favorable conditions for military personnel in need.
The school requests agencies, departments, and units to continue to fully disseminate relevant regulations; clarify the contents of concern to military personnel such as beneficiaries, applicable conditions, content and level of support, dossiers, procedures, medical examination and treatment facilities and requested procedures.
The military medical force is assigned to regularly update documents, proactively guide people in need; coordinate with the Military Clinical Embryology Institute and competent specialized facilities to advise, examine, determine the condition and orient appropriate treatment methods.
The process of receiving and processing dossiers must be strict but not cause hassle; ensuring professional principles, regulations, and standards; and at the same time paying attention to managing and protecting health information, family circumstances and treatment content of each individual" - Major General Dinh Quoc Trieu emphasized.
Along with that, Party committees and commanders of units are required to do a good job of ideological work, build an environment of sharing, sympathy, and no discrimination against people being treated for infertility and sterility; have sincere and subtle approaches and create appropriate conditions for military personnel to be examined and treated continuously.
