On June 18, information from the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health said that recently, the Department of Traditional Medicine Management (Ministry of Health) conducted an inspection and made a working record at Phung Hung Traditional Medicine Pharmacy Store (address: 492, Tran Hung Dao Street, Ward 14, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
Here, the Department of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy Management discovered 3 types of drugs: Su Tong massage oil (registry number V367-H120); Chanh Dai spore oil (registry number V1624-H120); Chanh Dai maple area oil (registry number V131-H12-10).
All 3 types of drugs are produced by Chanh Dai YHCT Drug Production Facility (this facility is located at 295, Nguyen Trai Street, Ward 7, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
Through verification, the Chanh Dai Traditional Medicine Production Facility has not been granted a Certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business by the Ministry of Health.
This facility has not been granted a Certificate of Good Practice of Drug Production (GMP) for the scope of drug and traditional medicine production.
Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 33, Article 2 of the Pharmacy Law, the above 3 types of drugs produced by the Chanh Dai YHCT drug manufacturing facility are fake drugs.
To ensure the safety of users, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health requires medical examination and treatment facilities not to use the above 3 drugs.
Medical examination and treatment facilities must promptly notify relevant authorities and are not allowed to sell or distribute the above drugs.
The Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health also requested competent agencies to strengthen supervision and handling of violations. The provincial Center for Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing collects samples for quality testing at drug business and use establishments in the area.
The Department of Health Inspectorate conducts inspections and examinations of drugs with the above information; handles violations according to the provisions of law.
